The Kea Section opens the door for young people to discover the world.

Fun and friendship are the cornerstones of the Kea programme. It is filled with a little bit of everything: outdoor activities, games, music, and crafts. Along the way, Kea meet new friends, learn cooperation and teamwork, and develop self-confidence.

Kea Clubs provide safe and nurturing environments for children to have fun and develop their creativity.

As a Kea you will:

  • Have lots of fun and go on awesome adventures
  • Play heaps of games and make lots of friends
  • Learn the Kea Promise and Motto
  • Learn to sing the Kea Song and Kea Yell
  • Take part in National Events such as Kea Day, Founder’s Day, and Mudslide Day
Our Keas Section

Keas meet on Tuesdays from 5pm – 6pm

Term 1 Keas programme

Kick off the term with a fun, fast‑paced Keas meet‑up featuring games, laughs, and a beach dig - so bring your best digging tool and get ready to dive back in together.

In this meet, Keas gather natural treasures like sticks, shells, and leaves to create their own animal sculptures - hands‑on, imaginative, and full of outdoor fun.

Keas Term 1 Week 3 – Kea Treasure Quest

24 February @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

A fast‑paced treasure hunt where Keas explore, follow clues, and uncover surprises together - an energetic burst of teamwork and adventure.

Set out on a Kea mystery walk along our local coastline, where every turn brings a new clue, a hidden detail, or a surprising discovery.

Adventure meets ingenuity as Keas will be using their scouting skills to construct rafts.

With paddles in hand and life jackets secured, our Keas set sail on their handcrafted rafts.

Keas Term 1 Week 7 – Kea Cart Rally

24 March @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Rev up the excitement with a hands‑on session where Keas build their own mini carts from bits of timber, decorate them, and then line up for some friendly racing.

We wrap up the term with beach games, plenty of laughs, and a shared BBQ to finish.
