Are you passionate about positive youth development?

We’re on the search for new adult volunteers who can bring their sense of fun and skills in mentorship to help the Whangaparāoa Scout section continue to thrive.

Kaiārahi (Leaders)

Being part of our Kaiārahi group is a rewarding journey of inspiration, mentorship, and community service.

Our weekly evening meetings take place during term time, and can include a range of indoor and outdoor activities, often working towards earning badges and awards.

Kaiārahi  have the opportunity for personal growth, have an impact on others, are part of a great community, have a voice and influence how things are run, participate in new experiences and be recognised for their work.

New Kaiārahi will have full training, be provided with resources, and have the support of other leaders and the committee.

Parent Helpers

Volunteering as a parent helper is a valuable contribution to our Whangaparāoa scouting community and a rewarding experience.

As a parent helper, your role may involve assisting with different aspects of scouting activities, such as supervising campouts, helping with merit badge workshops, organising fundraising events, or providing transportation for field trips.

Committee Memebers

Our small committee has many years’ experience in Scouting oversees all age sections.

Committee members play a vital role in supporting our scouting program and ensuring its success.
