The Kea Section opens the door for young people to discover the world.
Fun and friendship are the cornerstones of the Kea programme. It is filled with a little bit of everything: outdoor activities, games, music, and crafts. Along the way, Kea meet new friends, learn cooperation and teamwork, and develop self-confidence.
Kea Clubs provide safe and nurturing environments for children to have fun and develop their creativity.
As a Kea you will:
- Have lots of fun and go on awesome adventures
- Play heaps of games and make lots of friends
- Learn the Kea Promise and Motto
- Learn to sing the Kea Song and Kea Yell
- Take part in National Events such as Kea Day, Founder’s Day, and Mudslide Day
Our Keas Section
Term 2 Keas programme
Chemistry is all about figuring out the secrets of the universe by looking at tiny building blocks and their behaviour. This meet will be packed with hands-on activities that explore fascinating and visually impressive chemical reactions using common household ingredients. Keas will discover the secrets of matter and energy by making our very own magic potions - from floating raisins to elephant's toothpaste!
Grab your backpack and put on those sturdy shoes - it's time for a kid-powered adventure! In this meet our Keas will be adventuring through nature's wonderland to Waterfall Gully located in Shakespear Regional Park to see the lights of the glow worms and experience the enchantment of nature firsthand.
It's time to gaze upward, ponder the cosmos, and unravel the mysteries of the universe. In this meet, Keas will peer through a telescope, or as we like to call 'a cosmic spyglass', to see the universe unfold before their eyes. Keas will also have the opportunity to paint their paper mache planet surface.
