Are you passionate about positive youth development? We're on the search for adult volunteers who can bring their sense of fun and skills in mentorship to help the Whangaparāoa Scout section continue to thrive.

Being part of our Kaiārahi group is a rewarding journey of inspiration, mentorship, and community service. Our weekly evening meetings take place during term time, and can include a range of indoor and outdoor activities, often working towards earning badges and awards.

Kaiārahi have the opportunity for personal growth, have an impact on others, are part of a great community, have a voice and influence how things are run, participate in new experiences and be recognised for their work.

We invite to our information evening hosted by some of our current leaders who will give an overview of what it means to be a Scout leader, the responsibilities involved, and the benefits of taking on a leader or parent helper role. You’re then welcome to stay for our weekly Cubs meet to see our group in action and get a first-hand sense of what’s involved.
